When you arrive at Snow King Mountain make your way to the Cowboy Coaster. If you have never ridden an alpine coaster, at first glance this may seem like a kiddie ride. But don’t be fooled! The Cowboy Coaster can reach speeds of 25mph and has plenty of twists and turns to help you feel those g-forces.
Climbing the Mountain
Hop in the driver’s seat, get comfortable, and buckle up! The Cowboy Coaster does the work for you as you make your way up the mountain. During the roughly five minute ascent, enjoy unparalleled views of the Tetons. As the ride nears the top, get ready to smile or make a funny face for the camera!
Race to the Bottom
When the auto-lift ends and the ride begins to go downhill push the hand brakes forward and rush down the mountain. The curves, twists and turns, and 360 degree loops are sure to thrill every rider! For everyone’s safety the coaster will automatically brake when it reaches 25mph. For those looking for a more leisurely ride, use the brakes to ease your way to the bottom.

How long does it take to ride the Cowboy Coaster?
The ride up the mountain takes roughly 5 minutes. The ride down the mountain can take roughly 2-4 minutes making the total ascent and descent time approximately 7-9 minutes.
Can I control my own speed?
Yes, there are hand brakes that you push forward to move. Letting go or pulling back on the hand brakes will stop the cart.
Who can ride the coaster?
Riders must be at least 54” tall to drive and no taller than 84” (16+) or at least 38” (3+) to be a passenger. Drivers must be 16 years of age or older and passengers must be at least 3 years old. The max combined total weight is 375lbs. Drivers must have use of both arms and be able to operate the hand brake system.
Does the ride go upside down?
No, the ride does not go upside down however, there are several turns and 360 degree loops.
